It’s that time of year again where the A to Z Blogging Challenge is just about to start. This year I have, for better or worse, decided to challenge myself and this year I am determined to make to all the way through the alphabet.

So, with this goal in mind a few days ago I took some time to sit down and compile ideas for each letter of the alphabet. I trawled through my family tree, searching for both direct ancestors and more obscure ones with a degree of success. But I was determined to cover all angles before making a decision so I turned to the font of all wisdom: Google.

Well, Google did give me some interesting ideas as to what other people had done in previous years as well as some ideas of general topics for certain letters but I was determined to highlight the untold stories in my family tree as this was after all why I had started the blog. After much deliberation, I still didn’t come up with a solid ‘theme’ as such but I did come to a decision as to what I will be focussing on in this year’s challenge.

I have compiled a list for each letter form A to Z, which is my ‘master plan’ for the challenge. My posts will mainly focus around a different individual or individuals for each letter plus a few notable locations in my family tree.
